No-Ads & No-Disruption Policy
I do not display ads that interrupt, distract, or diminish the reading experience.
No pop-ups, auto-play banners, flashing ads, or injections from third-party ad networks.
This space is meant to be clear, quiet, and safe to read in.
What is not allowed here
- No third-party display ad networks (e.g., Google Display Network, Taboola, Outbrain).
- No pop-ups, pop-unders, full-screen banners, or forced interactions.
- No auto-playing media ads.
- No invisible or disguised ads.
- No ad scripts that follow users across the web or build behavioral ad profiles.
Many forms of online advertising are known vectors for malware, privacy abuse, and user manipulation, and I do not permit them on my platforms.
What may appear instead
- Self-promotion (ex: personal projects, writing, research, or workshops).
- Transparent affiliate links (ex: Amazon or official brand links), clearly marked and disclosed.
- Occasional partner recommendations, only when:
- I genuinely use it
- I can vouch for its safety
- It aligns with accessibility, usability, or learning values
Any partner link will always be disclosed, and you will always know when something is sponsored or monetized.
About Analytics
Analytics tools (like GA4) may be used to understand site traffic and improve usability.
This includes:
- Page views
- Navigation patterns
- Device/browser performance
This does not included
- Selling your data
- Using your activity for ad bidding
- Re-targeting ads off-site
Analytics exist only to make the site better, not to follow you around the internet.
Future Adjustments
If I add any new integrations (ex: LinkedIn Insights, Meta Pixel, etc.), I will:
- Update this policy
- Describe what data is collected
- Give you the option to opt-out
No silent changes. No hidden data use.
