UX Research: Defining Goals Based on Pain Points

Goal:

Create a system that's accessible and usable across different devices that helps people understand and think why they want to go to college while presenting other possible paths based on their goals considering the identified pain points.

Reason:

After watching a bunch of compilations about people regretting going to college, I was able to identify some pain points as follows.

1. People regret getting student loans and have hard time paying them back
2. People regret the degree they choose because of lack jobs opportunities
3. Among the reasons why people regret going to college are: finances, pressure, living up to family expectations, wanting to have a degree based on the assumptions that they'll get a higher salary.

Most of the sources are from people sharing their stories online, mainly on tiktok. However, as someone who can't stand tiktok — I've relied on people who make reaction videos to such videos or compilations. Some of the videos are shared below.
