Your age is and will not be an excuse.
They simply won't care. And this is not to tell you that you should give up. Education can be expensive, and simply "following your passion" won't feed you.
I understand that we get fed instant gratification all the time. It is hard to deal with. Short form content, instant pleasure in different sectors, getting everything in short periods of times... that's not right all the time. You need to put time into your life. And you have to demonstrate that you care. Don't just announce it. Prove it.
Don't think so little about yourself.
Stop using things if you have to. Limit it. Uninstall the apps. Don't open the comments section. Don't waste your time on meaningless interactions. Move on. There's more important things in your life. And you know that.
It's not going to be easy. Hardly anything will be. The easier it seems, the more issues it'll give you later. Give your future self some care. You don't have to suffer unnecessary consequences that you could avoid with tiny steps you take now.
There's several examples out there for you to look at and learn from. You don't need to make every mistake to understand the consequences or learn a lesson.*
When it comes to credit and loans. They will lie to you plenty of times if you don't have the right questions. They will sell you amazing outcomes as if they could predict the future. It's not realistic, not if you haven't done the research prior to agreeing and seeing the options you could've used.
And it's not necessarily bad to have credit or get loans. The bad thing is getting all of it as if you could avoid the consequences of the terms you've agreed to without understanding or thinking you could get out of it by filing bankruptcy. Not everything qualifies for it. Tiktok (social media in general) is filled with bad advice. There might be good, but they are often ignored — as people just want instant results and engagement rates. There’s not always value in that… You can do more than what you think. There’s resources out there. I am just one of the many places you could go to. Invest your time correctly.
Credit companies, banks, student loans, lenders, and others — won't care about a sad story. They will sue you even if that means them having to pay double of what you owe them. Ignoring calls or living the moment won't be a good excuse and it's not going to save you.
Please... don't think so little about yourself. Take time to think about your actions and your future self.
If you’re the type to think that you are in the age of making mistakes then you need to change your perspective. Instead of going “I am young! “I am allowed to make mistakes” “I didn’t get education in this!” “No one taught me how to do it!” and so many other excuses , you should think that you are currently in a time in life where you can save yourself from those mistakes and learn how to protect your future.
